Ok we’re aware that this is an obvious one but Paris really is the ultimate in romantic breaks so if you really want to stay in the good books then this is the Valentine’s Day gift for you. Known as the city of love Paris’s beauty and stunning architecture will in doubt get you in the romantic spirit. Of course you are spoilt for choice in things to do but if you can make sure you see The Louvre, The Arc de Triomphe and of course the Eiffel Tower. In the evenings there are plenty of restaurants and sleek cocktails bars for you to explore. Only a short journey on the Euro Tunnel getting here is pretty easy and once you’re in Paris try and get to grips with the Metro. Depending on what part of the city you want to stay in there are plenty of hotels to stay in, some of the best we’ve picked out here.
Another classic romantic break Rome will wow your partner with breath taking architecture and of course the amazing food. There is a wide choice of things to do in Rome but must dos include a visit to the Colosseum, the Vatican Museums, a night at the opera and make sure you try both the ice cream and pizza, delicious! If you do want to go shopping the high end boutiques or antique markets are really fun and you can find some interesting gifts in the markets. Rome is a huge place so there are many areas in which you can stay, as long as you are close to local transport you should be fine as getting around is fairly straightforward, check out some top hotels here.
For something a bit different Krakow actually makes a great weekend break. Krakow is actually a medieval
city and plays host to some wonderful buildings. For days out Krakow Zoo and Aquarium are good fun and great if you’re on a budget, for those looking to soak up some culture then the Old Theatre, Museums and botanical gardens should satisfy you. Make sure you give the flea markets a go as well as there are plenty of bargains to be had. Most hotels in Krakow are 3 or 4* and the prices are very reasonable, have a look for yourself.
